Welcome to Signature-Healthcare

Signature Healthcare’s physicians, advanced practice and administrative staff are the foundation of our organization. We would like to build on this foundation of caring professionals who bring expert clinical and professional experience, with a common goal of keeping our community safe and healthy.

We are a multi-specialty, not- for -profit hospital and physician group comprised of Brockton Hospital and Signature Medical Group – more than 150 physicians practicing in 11 ambulatory locations. Founded as Brockton Hospital in 1896, the Hospital is the oldest and largest inpatient facility in its service area, with a long tradition of community-based care. We are the only not-for-profit community based healthcare delivery system in Southeastern Massachusetts providing a full range of high quality primary care, specialty care, hospital care and related ancillary services. We provide care on a coordinated basis across the continuum which ensures high quality and low cost. We are an affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC, The Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center and Fertility Centers of New England.

The practice of medicine today is more challenging than ever before…for our patients and our clinicians. Staying healthy is as important as healing from an injury or illness. Whether providing integrated care at a community practice close to your home, or treating patients in one of our more than 17 specialties, we seek your valuable contribution to our culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Safety is a critical priority for our organization. Nearly 100K people die in the United States each year from harm suffered in American hospitals. We strive for zero safety events – for both patients and staff. All staff are trained in safety procedures and should feel able to say “STOP” at any time if they do not feel comfortable with a procedure. Another important aspect of our culture is continuous improvement, or Lean. One of the unique aspects of Lean is its focus on identifying waste in our processes and using the talents of our staff to standardize and improve our systems to reduce waste and improve quality. In fact, one of the 8 forms of waste is failure to utilize the talent and expertise of your team. We have won numerous awards for Quality, including a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, a national hospital safety score “A” rating by The Leapfrog Group, a Top Hospital from US News & World Report, and naming to the Harvard Pilgrim Hospital and Physician Group Honor Rolls.

We are committed to safety, high quality, and a welcoming patient experience for all who come to our organization. We are proud to serve our community and look forward to sharing our culture with you.
